All donations and fundraisers help to keep Special Friends Camps affordable, cover expenses of our volunteers who make these camps possible, and aid us in our effort to continue to expand our mission. Fundraisers
Our fundraiser through RaiseRight raises money for operating costs of Special Friends Ministries, while also allowing families to raise funds that go towards their individual cost to attend our camps.
RaiseRight uses the purchase of giftcards to donate a percentage of the cost of the giftcard to our cause. There are a wide range of popular stores, restaurants, and online stores that are available. You can get gift cards for your everyday shopping and help support our cause at the same time.

Previous Fundraisers
Special Friends Ministries hosted their second annual bar crawl in Tinley Park, IL in January of 2026. Great support was shown and a good time was had while raising $1,200 to help operational costs for Special Friends Ministries. Several local businesses and Chicago sports teams were gracious enough to donate items as raffle prizes to help us raise money.
In February of 2026, Special Friends Ministries hosted its firts annual Illinois bowling fundraiser at Twisted Pin in Plainfield.
In March of 2026, the second annual Michingan bowling fundraiser took place at Holly Lanes in Fenton.
The funds raised in each bowling event were applied to each respective camp, drastically decreasing the cost of each camp for the campers.
In June of 2023, Josh and Victoria celebrated their wedding. At the reception, guest were gracious enough to donate $1,100 to Special Friends Ministries as a wedding day fundraiser.
In May of 2023, president of Special Friends Ministries, Josh Pieper and his wife, and fellow SFC counselor, Victoria, ran the Muddy Dash in Chicago. They, along with their fellow runners were able to raise just over $1,000 for Special Friends Ministries.
