Camp Copneconic

Our Michigan Camp is held at Camp Copneconic, a YMCA camp in Fenton, MI. This has been our home since our start in 1993, and will continue to be our home in Michigan for years to come!

Camp Copneconic Features many indoor and outdoor activities for our campers including archery, horseback riding, bonfires, a lake for water activities, arts and crafts areas, a reptile house and many other activities. Campers get to experience many different activities that they normally wouldn't be able to. All while making friends and learning about God's Love for each and every one of us. 

Dennis Pieper, his family, and now Special Friends Ministries has partnered with Michigan District Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod to bring you Special Friends Camp for the last 32 years. 2025 marks the first year that Special Friends Ministries is running Special Friends Camp as an independent not-for-profit organization and look forward to the opportunities this will open up for the ministry. With the help of St. Trinity Lutheran and St. John Lutheran, Special Friends Camp continues it's legacy of excellence and service in the great state of Michigan.
